Get Involved With the Wildcat Booster Club

If your son or daughter is an athlete at Mt Spokane High School, the Booster Club is a great way to support Wildcat Programs "behind the scenes." There are plenty of opportunities to serve on committees, work in the concession stand and there is always room for new energy and ideas to help support Wildcat Athletics.

If you are unable to volunteer in some capacity, but would still like to support the Booster Club, please consider a DONATION to the cause:

In just the last 8 years, this parent run organization has raised nearly $320,000 to help support Mt Spokane Athletes and Programs.  The major fundraiser each year is the annual Cat Scramble Golf Tournament which takes place at Wandermere Golf Course the second Saturday in September (Saturday Sept 26th 2019 at Wandermere Golf Course).  Last year's combined effort with Mead raised a record $70,000 + that was split between both high schools.

The Booster Club Meetings are ~once a month on Mondays at 6pm usually in the Office Conference Room just off the main office or at an off-campus location as determined by the Booster Club Officers - all are welcome to attend.

FAQs re. 2019 Cat Scramble:

Specials Thanks to our new title sponsors - Mead Class of '76, The Kalispel Tribe / Northern Quest Casino & Resort & ALSC Architects.

How much money was raised?  This year’s fundraising total was in excess of $70,000! The check was presented to the Booster Clubs at the "Catmania" Volleyball game and again "Battle of the Bell".

What was the turnout?  We had a full field of golfers at the 1pm main tee time and 4 teams in the overflow who started at 7:30 am ... that's 150+ golfers!  We sell out earlier and earlier every year so last year we added the 7:30 tee time to include everyone who wants to participate in the tournament!  No matter what time you tee off, all participants have full access to what Cat Scramble has to offer!

How did the golf tournament go? Everyone we ran into had a great time and the feedback we received was 100% positive.  There are always places to improve and there will be some minor adjustments next year to make things even better!

How did the Auction go?  The auction was a raving success once again (thank you Jody Sanford)!  We have so many generous corporations and community members that raise the bar with donations every year!

Which sponsors to thank?  We need to list EACH AND EVERY ONE of them!  Without their support we cannot come close to raising the funds we have year after year!  A billboard displaying the major sponsors was up along Division or Hwy 2 thanking them for their support of this year's Cat Scramble!

What will the proceeds go toward?  The proceeds are equally divided between the two high schools.  The Athletic Booster Clubs disperse the money to the coaches according to their particular needs for their athletes that school year.

This year compared with last year?  The Committee discusses a goal for each tournament a year in advance!  We set the bar high and work like crazy to get there!  We constantly use the mantra "It's for the kids" ... A  LOT! They are the reason this tournament was started, it’s why all of the people involved focus and work so hard to make it successful!
