Mt. Spokane Sophomores will be taking Smarter Balanced Assessments

All Mt. Spokane sophomores will be taking Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAs) beginning Monday (April 17). Math SBA week is April 17-21 and English Language Arts is April 24-28.

Students will miss class two mornings and two afternoons during the testing window. Testing rosters, with testing days and locations, are posted in the Commons. Students in the afternoon session should eat first lunch.

Meeting standard on SBAs is a graduation requirement. Additionally, if students score high enough they will satisfy state and federal accountability and not test again in the junior year.
